What is an Access Advocate?
A volunteer of any age, background, or location, who is passionate about equality and is willing to be a:
- Sharer: spread the word by committing to sharing a selection of AccesSOS's social media posts for 4 months (not all of our posts, just a select few that will need more eyes on it), asking your network to follow us
- Writer: writing social media accessible descriptions for when we post pictures so blind folks don't miss out on the photo
- Storyteller: tell your story about lack of access to 911, or find someone in your network that has had that experience and document it through an instagram story or a quick video recording
- Community Builder: help us reach out to professionals or potential partners whether through email or social media (don't worry, we have templates for you to use)
What are the requirements to become an Advocate?

Internet access

Able to commit 2 hours per month for at least 4 months

Passionate and enthusiastic about the AccesSOS's mission and vision

Excellent communication skills

Always acts in a manner consistent with our
AccesSOS Code of Conduct
